RED BULL AIR RACE 2010
Already in its 7th year, the Red Bull Air Race is growing in popularity year by year. With a total of 6 races in 2010 in top destinations such as New York, Perth and Rio the aim is for internationally renowned pilots to compete by flying slalom through a challenging obstacle course consisting of specially made pylons known as “air gates”. The races are mostly held over water thus attracting large crowds to the area. The races are broadcast to viewers via LED screens and televised on major TV channels worldwide. Global Bright Media was able to secure the on-screen marketing rights for the races with its London based partner Outdoor Revolution and supply the screens in the 3 European legs of the race (Lausitz, Budapest and Porto).
Screens used: 1 x 40m² R16, 1 x 40m² R7, 1 x 30m² R16
Unfortunately, due to a lack of permits the last two of the three European events have had to be cancelled.
